News in New Englad

The Boston Celtics defeated the Phoenix Suns tonight 115-103 at the Garden.  The game was controlled by the C's throughout.  Side note...what the hell is Rondo doing shooting that shot at the end of the game, dribble the ball, run the clock out, and get your ass into the locker room.  I'd be pissed if I were the Suns.  It's an unwritten rule that you DO NOT shoot that ball!

Other Celtic news, Troy Murphy made his debut tonight wearing #30.  He looked out of game-shape, not having logged many minutes in New Jersey this season.  The C's also have reportedly agreed to sign former Cavalier Sasha Pavlovic, who will be a veteran body off the bench.  Don't expect much scoring from Sasha, just some a veteran presence and some D.

For the Patriots, guard Stephen Neal has announced his retirement.

For the Red Sox, Josh Beckett is feeling better after being hit in the head with a stray ball in the outfield.  When asked how he feels, he responded, "I feel like I haven't pitched in a few days."  Beckett will miss his next spring training start, but look for him to be back on schedule soon.  He'll be fine and with a strong winter, he looks to head into this year and have a solid season, putting last years debacle behind him.

In other Sox news, Adrian Gonzalez took 70 swings today.  He is chomping at the bit to get out there and be with the team in an actual game situation, and I can't wait to see the big lefty put about 80 over the Green Monster.
